MVP Health Care (“MVP”) has partnered with Alegeus Technologies, LLC and its WealthCare Administration System (collectively referred to herein as “WealthCare”), to provide this Portal Web Site to MVP members with medical spending accounts including Health Savings Accounts. MVP and WealthCare are committed to protecting MVP member privacy and providing technology that gives members a powerful and safe online experience.

This Statement of Privacy applies to the Portal Web Site and governs data collection and usage. By using the Portal Web Site website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

This Portal Web Site collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. The Portal Web Site keeps track of the Web sites and pages members visit within the Portal Web Site, in order to determine what Portal Web Site services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Portal Web Site to members whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

As part of the digital claims submission process through the WCP Standard Portal, you are required to upload image files of receipts and other transaction records for purchases that are covered by your plan. Upload of these images is protected through the use of encryption. These image files are accessible only to staff and systems authorized to process claims. Information derived from these images is restricted to data elements required for claims submission, such as vendor name, purchase item name and related codes, transaction amount, date, location, etc. The images are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with applicable law.

Use of Cookies

"Cookies" are used to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
